This evening, Bhagawan went to the Indoor Stadium construction site at 3 pm, and returned to Yajur Mandiram. After 4.15 pm, Swami came to Sai Kulwant Hall, took a full darshan round and went to the interview room. Later, He came to the Bhajan Hall at 4.45, interacted with some of the students there till Bhajans began at 5 pm and returned to Yajur Mandiram after Arati at 5.45.

Thiru Onam dawned at Prasanthi Nilayam with a colourful procession in traditional Kerala style welcoming Bhagawan to the Sai Kulwant Hall. Young girls with "Thaala poli" and young boys chanting Vedam heralded our Vaamanamoorthy's arrival. The Sai Kulwant Hall was decorated in traditional Kerala style with green buntings and long colourful temple flags. When Bhagawan came onstage at 8 o'clock, the programme began with a welcome song. Next was a fifty minute series of skits by Balvikas children - 'Sai tips to fly high!' After the skits, bhajans commenced by the devotees, till Bhagawan retired after 20 minutes.
In the evening, Bhagawan came onstage and started the proceedings at 3.15 pm. The Kerala state Sai Organisations president Prof. E. Mukundan spoke briefly highlighting the Service activities being done in the state, and then introduced the speakers. The first speaker was Sri Veerandra Kumar, MP, former Union Minister, MD of the Mathrubhoomi group of publications and Director of Press Trust of India. The second speaker was Justice Sridharan, former Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court and currently Lok Ayuktha for Kerala. After their brief talks, Bhagawan gave His 40 minute Onam Message. Following Bhagawan's Discourse was a 30 minute drama on the life of Sakkubai by the students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidyapeeth, Srisailam, Kerala. The evening's proceedings concluded with 10 minutes of devotional songs by Sri Vishnu Bhat.

This morning, at 8 o'clock, the programme presented by the Kerala devotees consisted of a series of devotional songs, sung by Sri Sankaram Nambudiri in semi-classical carnatic style. After the hour long vocal rendering, Bhajans began in the Bhajan Hall at 9 o'clock. Some of the bhajans were sung by the singers from Kerala, and some by the regular Mandir bhajan singers.
In the evening, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha of the Indian Parliament, Sri L. K. Advani, had an audience with Bhagawan. After he left, the cultural programme by the Kerala devoees began. This evening's presentation was a drama by the children from Sai Vidya Vihar, Alwaye, Kerala, entitled "Mathru Devo Bhava, Pithru Devo Bhava". The story of Pundareeka was depicted, and the virtue of serving one's parents was highlighted in the 40 minute drama which began at 4.40 pm. Next was another vocal concert, this one by Prof Vayyankara Madhusoodanan. After nearly 40 minutes of songs, Bhagawan accepted Arati and returned to Yajur Mandiram.

The Union Railway Minister, Sri Laloo Prasad Yadav, had come for Bhagawan's darshan in the evening. After he left, the cultural programme sheduled for the evening got underway.
The three day celebrations of Onam by the devotees from Kerala began at Prasanthi Nilayam with the presentation of a dance drama by Balvikas children - "Bhakthi and Vibhakthi". The dance drama depicted the experiences of various devotees at Guruvayur temple where Lord Kishna is worshipped as Guruvayurappan. After the 50 minute dance-drama, bhajans were sung by the Kerala devotees at 5.30 pm for around 15 minutes till Bhagawan received Arati and left for His residence.

September 2nd 2006 was the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Swami's students working in various organisations in the Ashram organised a quiet celebration by conducting Narayana Seva in the morning, and presenting some devotional songs in the evening. When Bhagawan arrived for evening darshan, He cut a cake on the verandah and then proceeded to the stage at 4 o'clock to listen to the music programme. The song programme lasted more than an hour and fifteen minutes. Many perennial favourites like "Hari mein nayan heen tum naina" and "Sai ke darbar mein" were interspersed with some 'new' songs like "Aanati neeyara Haraa". The programme ended with "Pyaare Sai Hamare".
